Steve Hoskins
Electrical Power Engineer

Steve first learned about wind energy in grammar school although it wasn’t until his college years when his interest was truly sparked. Steve attended the University of Colorado (Boulder) and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.

As an electrical power engineer, Steve has worked on electrical power converter system design and controls for several applications, including grid-tied distributed generation systems and wind turbines.

Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, mountain biking, telemark and cross country skiing and playing the piano.

Before joining Earth Turbines, Steve worked for Northern Power Systems in Waitsfield as an electrical design engineer where he commissioned two 100kW wind turbine systems and led engineering design teams working on product development programs. He looks forward to making a positive contribution to the renewable energy industry through his work at Earth Turbines.
