Steve Miller
Field Technician

For Steve, working at Earth Turbines brings him closer to his new found passion for wind energy. The idea of bringing renewable energy to homeowners and making it affordable to people has great appeal to him. Growing up, Steve lived in a house with solar panels on the roof that provided hot water for his home. Using renewable energy resources and living “green” was something that was instilled on him by his parents. This passion stuck with him throughout college at the University of Vermont where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in outdoor recreation management from the School of Natural Resources.

Steve brings several years of technical experience to Earth Turbines, having worked as a field installation technician for Radiant Engineering in Montana and as a building maintenance technician and lift operation foreman at Deer Valley Resort in Utah.

Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and their 4-month-old daughter. He can often be found outdoors hiking, skiing, fishing and hunting, depending on the season. He also worked as head brewer for Vermont Pub & Brewery where he won gold, silver and bronze medals in the 2006 “Great International Beer Competition” and has turned this experience into a hobby crafting home brews for friends and family.
